Backache? Legs sore? Muscles hurt?
Do you run? Or workout?
It’s definitely running season and I guess from the number of people out there in my local park, Gan Sacher, that because of the lockdown, there are a lot more people who have taken up the sport in the past year.
The problem with running is that very often people give it up because of injury caused by a variety of reasons – Achilles tendonitis, runner's knee, stress fracture, damage to the hamstrings, shin splints, and the one I have personally experienced – plantar fasciitis. You know you have plantar fasciitis when you take your first steps in the morning and you feel intense pain in your feet.
All these conditions can set you back weeks, months even years. I know. I’ve been there and I can sympathize.
But there are things you can do that help to prevent injuries and one of them is Thai yoga bodywork. Originally developed in India, this treatment has been around for over 2,500 years. It can have a positive effect on your health, in general, and more specifically, can help to improve your running performance.
