Not every runner feels stiff after a long workout. But if you feel the muscles in your calves, hamstrings, hip flexors, or IT bands are aching or tight then it’s definitely a good idea to stretch them. Stretching can help bring the muscle back to its normal tone and help with flexibility.
Here are the stretches I like to do for my legs. Try and do 3 sets for each one and stay in the stretch for 30 seconds.
